Daniels, a pornographic actress, claimed that she had a sexual relationship with Trump in 2006 and received $130,000 as part of a nondisclosure agreement a few days before the 2016 US presidential election.

The case was dismissed by a judge in 2018 and in a ruling on Tuesday, a commissioner for the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals stated that Trump's legal team had "reasonably spent" over 183 hours on an appeal related to the defamation lawsuit.
