Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello Part Ways: Couple Announces Divorce After Almost 8 Years of Marriage

According to reports on Monday, Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello have made the decision to end their marriage of nearly eight years and are now going through a divorce process.

“We have made the difficult decision to divorce,” In a joint statement provided to Page Six, the celebrity couple expressed their decision. “As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect for our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”

Sofia Vergara, aged 51, and Joe Manganiello, aged 46, crossed paths at a White House Correspondents’ Dinner in 2014 and soon began dating. Their relationship progressed, and Manganiello proposed to Vergara on Christmas Day later that same year. The couple tied the knot in November 2015, exchanging vows in an extravagant wedding held in Palm Beach, Florida, which was attended by numerous celebrities.

In recent months, rumors about their separation have been circulating, as reported by People magazine. This speculation gained traction after Vergara and Manganiello relisted their Beverly Hills mansion, which they had initially put up for sale last summer but later removed from the market

Last week, Vergara marked her 51st birthday in Italy, sharing photos and videos on social media featuring her surrounded by friends and family. However, noticeably absent from the celebrations was Manganiello. On his Instagram, the “Magic Mike” and “True Blood” actor posted a blurry picture of himself with Vergara, wishing her a happy birthday with the caption, “¡¡Feliz Cumpleaños Sofía!!!” Observant commenters on the post sensed something amiss.

Prior to meeting Manganiello, Vergara was engaged to businessman Nick Loeb. However, their relationship came to an end in May, after four years of dating, as they struggled to find quality time together due to their demanding work schedules. Loeb later sued Vergara for custody of two embryos they had created in 2013, a legal battle that Vergara ultimately won in 2021.
